ICCA Dubai hosts the Estonian Government Business Delegation led by Deputy Minister

ICCA Dubai was pleased to host the Estonian Government's Business Delegation of Companies in the Food & Beverage sector led by Deputy Minister Mr Siim Tiidemann from the Ministry of Rural Affairs and the Director for GCC Economic Relations, Mrs Hele Karilaid from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Estonian Business and Innovation Agency organised the delegation's visit in cooperation with Sesam Connect and funded by European Regional Development Fund.

The Estonian delegation's itinerary also included Saudi Arabia before arriving in the UAE, where they visited ICCA Dubai and spent a few hours with the leadership team here. The main purpose of this visit was to get an in-depth insight into ICCA Dubai's activities and to explore opportunities for cooperation in the F&B sector in the UAE.

Estonia is famous for its ICT sector, but many are unaware that half of its territory is covered in forest, with 23% of agricultural land being organic, making it the second largest country in Europe with organic produce.

Speaking of the delegation's visit to ICCA, Mr Tiidemann said: "We got a wonderful reception at ICCA Dubai. During our visit to ICCA Dubai, we learned that despite coming from different cultural backgrounds, we share similar values. And together, we can work towards achieving our common goals, constantly striving for innovative and smart solutions while being appreciative of education that will strongly shape our future."

Sunjeh Raja, CEO & Director of ICCA, concluded:  "ICCA is a world-class culinary learning centre focussed on application-focussed and outcome-driven training to groom chefs that can seamlessly integrate, effectively deliver, and excel in the industry. The Estonian government's dynamic vision is aligned with ICCA's goals and principles, and we look forward to areas of cooperation in the hospitality and F& B sector in the UAE."
